What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is a ministry of the Church, wherein one believer helps another grow in their relationship with God. It is a ministry of discernment, involving deep listening to both the directee and to the Holy Spirit. A spiritual director looks for God’s activity in your story and gives you the opportunity and space to reflect on His presence in your life.

A typical spiritual direction session lasts about an hour, is confidential, and take place monthly.

I have practiced spiritual direction since 2004. I received my formal training through Lipscomb University’s Institute for Christian Formation.  I served as Spiritual Formation pastor for two large (1500+) churches from 1999 to 2010.   I work with both women and men, individually and in groups, covering a range of ages and experiences.

I am available to meet for spiritual direction in person in the Nashville area.  Outside of Nashville we meet over Telebridge (telephone) or over Skype™.  I’m still checking out Google Hangout as well.

My rate is $64 (US) per one hour session, but I also have a sliding scale in situations of need.
